The culture in Turkey initiated a marked transition from the Islamic culture, during the period Ottoman Empire, towards the western culture from the transformations stimulated by Kemal Atatürk.

The westernization of the constumbres of the population becomes evident specially in the big cities as Istanbul and Ankara. Though the majority of the population practises(teaches) the faith of the Islam, this one is considered to be like "moderated", in reference to other populations of Moslem majority.
Most of the population is considered to yes same as(like) European. The diaspora of Turkish citizens in Europe, it(he,she) has helped to extend the culture of Turkey across the continent. This trend is principally marked in Germany where almost 3 million Turks live(inhabit), some of which have opened themselves a space emphasized in the culture of the above mentioned country. Such it is the case of the filmmaker, Fatih Akin. Also it(he) is famous in the continent and in several parts of the world the interpreter of music pop, Tarkan 

Turkish folklore 

The many-colored(mixed) music folclórica Turkish, proceeding from the steppes Asians - origins geographical of the Turkish people(village)-, it(he,she) contrasts with the refined Turkish classic music of the Court of the Ottoman Empire or with the military music of his(her,your) army but the three possess characteristics that join them, though it is the base of another article that should be elaborated in more depth. The tulip

In the year 1554, the Austrian ambassador, Busbecq wanted to know the name of an unknown flower that had made him amazed. A gentleman on his(her,your) turban was taking this flower. He asked the translator " how is it called this? " The blue pearl, the light of the dawn, the ruby drop, this way were called the species(kinds) of the tulips.

The carpet and kilim Turkish

 The most ancient carpet of the world was discovered in the year 1949 in Pazirik's valley, in the mounts of Altai, in the land of origin of the nomadic Turks. It(he,she) dates back to the 5th century aC. It is not a chance that the nomads were discovering, because the errant life was forcing it, to have the warm soil inside the shops (yurt) in the cold mountains and when it(he,she) moves they were in use for wrapping the things. Since then to weave carpet was a principal tradition of the Turks.
The Turkish carpet has nude double and in it wool or wool and cotton is in use or sedates pure. The style, the colors and name of the carpet changes into every region. Between(among) them the most valuable is Hereke's carpet.

The kilim is a simple fabric with an urdimbre and section. Basically it differs for not taking "hair" as the carpet.
